AIR CONDITIONING IN HYBRIDS
Hybrid and electric vehicles use air conditioning compressors driven by high voltage. Depending on the manufacturer, the A/C compressor has a built-in inverter or an external control module. Special oil, as specified in the manufacturer's documentation, must be used to service the air conditioning system.
