BMW HV Battery Diagnostic Tool EoS IMIB HV Battery Tester, Unlocking After an Accident, Replacement, Battery Activation

BMW hybrid and electric vehicles are very difficult to service without specialized equipment.

In our workshop we use testers dedicated to the BMW brand:

• EoS BMW EOS (End of Service) 83302353250
• and the newer BMW IMIB HV 2023 816010 (81-31-5-A94-550) 81315a94550. Integrated Measurement Interface Box High Voltage

The testers work together with the ISTA diagnostic software. This gives us far greater capabilities for diagnosing, activating, and updating vehicles. The orange EoS box covers a wide range of models, e.g. F15, F20, G20, G30, G45. The newer tester supports all currently produced models, e.g. the iX.

Error codes that may require the use of these devices:

• 0x21F2A8 – high-voltage battery assembly, high-voltage battery safety terminal: faulty igniter/activation electronics (pyrotechnics)
• 0x21F37E – crash identification: a collision was detected based on the ACSM signal
• 0x21f43C – high-voltage battery assembly, supply voltage too low: coolant shut-off valve fails to activate due to voltage being too low
