In its new car models, Porsche no longer uses classic lead-acid or AGM 12V batteries, but has moved toward lithium technology combined with control electronics. The battery has a disconnect module on relays, so a battery with problems in the electronics, cell voltage, or after being locked will have no connection between the terminal clamps and the cells because the relays are disconnected.
