Repairing the Fiat 500e is taking up more and more of our time. We recently dealt with two cars with similar battery-related issues.
The model, produced from 2013 to 2019, was initially offered only in the state of California, later in other US states, but was never officially sold on other world markets. You can therefore only find it here as an overseas import, often offered as a bargain after various "adventures." Despite fairly good durability, the batteries show signs of fatigue after a decade. It all naturally depends on real mileage and usage. Even for a car used for commuting, mileages of around 150-200 thousand km after 10 years are nothing unusual and can be reflected in a real reduction in range due to cell degradation.
We know this model extremely well. The real range of a healthy 24kWh battery with numbers 05186015AE should be around 120-160 km. Parts availability is limited due to low supply in Europe. However, we are prepared to repair both the battery itself and its supporting components. Overall impression: a very neat car that's pleasant to drive.
